Analysts at Credit Suisse have reiterated their Neutral rating on shares of energy holding company NiSource Inc. ( NI ), while lowering earnings estimates and increasing the target price on the stock to $29 from $27 a share.

"Our bias is that if NI shares experience substantial appreciation relative to MLPs, our investment outlook would be more pessimistic," said Credit Suisse. "While 4Q:12 results were roughly in line, we are cutting our numbers for 2013-2015 to more fully reflect NI's guidance for 5-7% EPS growth over the long term."

The firm has lowered its 2013, 2014 and 2015 EPS estimates to $1.55, $1.64 and $1.75 from $1.64, $1.72 and $1.81 respectively.

Shares of NI are down 0.33% to $27.17 in afternoon trade, amid a 52-week range of $23.14 - $27.40.
