In a concerted effort to expand its product portfolio and
augment revenues,
ANADIGICS, Inc.
(
ANAD
) recently introduced the AWB7224 small-cell power amplifier to
extend its frequency band coverage in 3G and 4G markets. The new
power amplifier is designed to deliver benchmark efficiency,
linearity, output and thermal characteristics for wireless
infrastructure operating in the 728 to 768 MHz frequency band.
Leveraging ANADIGICS' patented InGaP-Plus technology and advanced
design architectures, the new power amplifier enables
manufacturers to develop products that consume less power while
providing higher throughput and greater coverage. The launch of
the new amplifier is likely to strengthen its position as a
leading designer and manufacturer of semiconductor solutions for
the broadband wireless and wireline communications markets.
The strategic move is also expected to boost its depleted top-
and bottom-line. The company reported a loss of $16.1 million or
23 cents per share in fourth quarter 2012 compared with a loss of

market drivers that it believes will expand its served available
market. These drivers include the rapid adoption of 3G and 4G
data connectivity in wireless mobile devices, expansion of
wireless and CATV infrastructure to support increase data use,
and proliferation of high performance WiFi connectivity in mobile
devices.
Founded in 1984, ANADIGICS is headquartered in Warren, N.J. Its
products include power amplifiers, tuner integrated circuits,
active splitters, line amplifiers, and other components. These
products are sold individually or packaged as integrated radio
