Anadarko Petroleum Beats Street on Q3 EPS, But Misses Some Estimates on Sales

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. ( APC ) yesterday reported Q3 net earnings from continuing operations of $0.84, topping estimates of $0.76. On a GAAP basis, Anadarko reported earnings of 24 cents per share in Q3 versus a loss of $6.12 per share a year earlier. The difference between operating and GAAP earnings during the quarter was due to the impact of certain one-time items, charges and gains, during the quarter.

Revenues for the quarter came in at $3.33 million, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.42 billion but surpassing the year-ago figure of $3.19 billion.

APC trades in a 52-week range of $56.42 - $88.70.
