American Water Works's Q4 Beats on EPS, Misses on Revs; Guides FY12 EPS In Line

American Water Works ( AWK ) today reported Q4 earnings of $0.34 per share, ex-one time items, compared with the prior-year period's $0.23 per share. Revenues were $639.78 mln, up 2% from $625.77 mln in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were expecting EPS of $0.32 on revenues of $696.3 mln.

The company reaffirmed its FY12 guidance for EPS, seeing $1.90-$2 EPS, in line with the consensus of $1.95 EPS.

Shares closed at $33.92, with a 52-week range of $25.39 - $34.67.
