American Railcar Q4 Results Trounce Estimates

(RTTNews.com) - American Railcar Industries, Inc. ( ARII ) reported net earnings for the fourth quarter of $24.5 million or $1.14 per share; compared to $5.1 million or $0.24 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Revenues for the fourth quarter rose 6% to $207.7 million from $196.8 million a year ago, mainly due to an increase in revenues for the manufacturing and leasing segments.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.78 per share on revenue of $185.72 million for the fourth quarter.
