Amazon to Launch Streaming Music Service -Reports

Amazon.com Inc. ( AMZN ) will soon introduce a music streaming service, according to reports from the New York Times and the New York Post.

The service will allow subscribers to Amazon's Prime service access to free songs without advertising but won't offer most new releases, the Times reported Wednesday, citing several people briefed on the company's plans.

The Post reported that Amazon will unveil the service Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
