Air Products & Chemicals Inc . ( APD ) is set to illustrate the efficiencies of its wide range of industrial gases, equipment, and technology solutions for the metals processing industry and share its latest research techniques at the Heat Treat 2013 Conference and Exposition in Indianapolis, Ind., from Sep 16-18.

Air Products' latest research techniques are designed to help metals processors increase their production capacity and improve product quality at the same time.

Air Products will share the recent developments in process control of nitrogen-based carburizing atmosphere through a show highlighting 'Case Hardening Using Nitrogen-Based Atmospheres', which is a technical program scheduled on Sep 16, in Room 141 at the meet.

Air Products will address the common heat treating issues by presenting 'Atmosphere Troubleshooting and Solutions to Common Heat Treating Problems' at the Heat Treating Solutions Center on Sep 17. The troubleshooting guide captures years of field experience with nitrogen- and hydrogen-based atmosphere systems.

The presentation will educate the metals processors about analyzing common atmosphere-related problems, such as oxidation, de-carburization, and sooting. Air Products will also provide practical suggestions to handle such issues.

Air Products will also be exhibiting its wide spectrum of industrial gases and variety supply options that are designed to meet every customer's specific needs as per their cost constraints at the company's booth.

Air Products will be providing technical support such as process audits and troubleshooting to the attendees. It will also offer metals processing solutions, including extended belt life with  its Atmosphere Humidification System, accelerated cooling for sinter-hardening, oxygen-free carburizing using plasma activation, and plasma-activated nitriding of stainless steels.

Air Products will also provide provisions for the show attendees to view a new video demonstration featuring the company's plasma gas injector for activation of heat treating furnace atmospheres at booth number 1812. Metals processor can have direct conversations with the company's specialists to discuss about the specific heat treating challenges faced by them.

Air Products also attended the 2nd Annual Specialty & Agro Chemicals America show  in Wilmington, N.C.,  along with Dow Chemical ( DOW ), Eastman Chemical ( EMN ) and Monsanto ( MON ) to illustrate the efficiencies of its wide range of industrial gas and chemical solutions for specialty chemical and agrochemical manufacturers
