National Bank said: "Despite our concerns about forward earnings, all is not bleak for stock markets. After years of hesitation, the Bank of Japan under its new governor Haruhiko Kuroda has embraced quantitative easing on a scale that has surprised even the most optimistic market-watchers. Most equity indexes have reacted very positively to the Japanese plan. Just a few weeks ago markets were seeing a drying-up of liquidity with the possible termination of QE3 later this year. This concern has now dissipated. With other central banks picking up the baton from the Fed, there is still plenty of liquidity to go around."
